After attending Pacific University and living abroad in Europe, Anne-Marie was recruited by the award winning restaurant David Paul's Lahaina Grill to be the Maitre'D and Assistant Manager. Later her career path and interests led her to Chadwick Hawaii Jewelers where she managed a roster of high-end political and celebrity clients and gained valuable skills in customer service, marketing and public relations. While working at both establishments she was able to use and perfect skills that included training and managing of employees, daily business operations, data entry and continuous customer care. Anne-Marie began as an art student of the Hui in 1981, joined the team as Registrar in 2006, and was promoted to Program Manager in 2007 and most recently Senior Program Manager. Since that time, she has spearheaded the design, development and expansion of our quarterly newsletter, CREATE, which has experienced a 300% increase in distribution since its 2007 launch; implemented its bi-monthly online counterpart, FLASHnews, with a distribution of more than 2,500 subscribers, taken on responsibility of the Program Department’s budget, and made significant developments to the Hui’s program offerings in terms of diversity, accessibility and quality.
