Born & raised here on Maui, Lana graduated from Pomona College in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Analysis. In addition to graduating cum laude and with honors from Phi Beta Kappa, Lana produced a 41-minute documentary for her senior thesis about energy use on Maui. Lana has worked as a teacher’s assistant for the Hui’s Summer Art Camp for the past four summers. Now back on Maui, Lana enjoys working as the Hui’s Program Assistant. Lana Coryell began as an art student of the Hui in 1990, an Art Camp counselor and teaching artist in 2005 and joined the team as Registrar in August ’08. Lana will be heading the Hui’s upcoming web page sharing how-to information on sustainable living on Maui. She also served as the inspiration for the Lana Coryell orchid!
