A New York native, Kelly has worked with Sesame Workshop in community outreach & special events; the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers in development; MetLife in conference planning; Brooklyn Arts Council in arts in education and grant- making; and the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts. She holds a BA in studio art from Binghamton University, professional certification in arts administration from NYU and is part of the Americans for the Arts Emerging Leader Program. Since joining Hui No`eau in September ’08, Kelly has cultivated relationships with several public school partners, developed special needs and at-risk programs for partner institutions, produced the annual Portfolio Day program, programmed all youth classes & workshops, spearheaded plans for the upcoming Children’s Media Lab (coming soon!) and begun a strategic program plan for the execution of a long-term professional development program for teaching artists.
