February 24 / 8:00 am – 12:30 pm

Join a fantastic group of fellow photographers for a one-day photo walk in a beautiful Maui location. Guided by professional photographer Aubrey Hord and Scott Fischer of Hawaiian Islands Land Trust (HILT), students will venture out to the Waihe‘e Coastal Dunes & Wetlands Reserve—a rich archeological site protected by HILT and home to eight different native species. Students will have the chance to put their skills to the test while having the on-site support of a Teaching Artist. Don’t forget to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the field while taking photos along the way! Note: The class will meet at 8:00 am at Maui Mall in the covered area between Whole Foods and Longs to be able to start the hike at 8:30 am. Please do not be late to the meeting location. Prerequisite: In the Field: Using Your DSLR Camera on Location or equivalent experience. Students should be in physical condition to do a moderate/strenuous hike on uneven terrain.

Tuition: $55 ($94 nonmember)
