2016 Hui No‘eau Annual Juried Exhibition

This prestigious and selective exhibition offers an opportunity for viewers to see current work of local and mainland artists in all media, including ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, photography, jewelry, digital imagery, fiber, painting, glass, and wood. In 2016, Juror Marcia Morse brings her strong educational and artistic background to the Hui. Ms. Morse completed her undergraduate work with honors at Harvard University and received her MFA in Printmaking at Stanford University. She recently completed her PhD in Political Science with research focused on the gender politics of performance art. She is tenured as a Professor of Art at Honolulu Community College, where she currently serves as Dean of University College, the Liberal Arts program of the College. Ms. Morse is also active as an artist, art critic and freelance curator.
