Oil Painting Teaching Artist

Tony Walholm is renowned for his large-scale oil paintings of the “visionary abstract” style. Tony taught at Chaminade University in Honolulu for ten years before becoming a teaching artist for the Hui. He has been painting full time since 1982. His work can be seen at the Stanford University Children’s Hospital, the Hawai‘i State Art Museum, and the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater and is part of many private collections. He is currently represented by Paia Contemporary Gallery.
