Hui No`Eau Visual Arts Center, built originally as an estate in 1917 called Kaluanui, nestled in upcountry Maui. Kaluanui is one of the most beautiful buildings on the island of Maui. The property boasts 10.5 acres with views of Haleakala, the West Maui Mountains, rolling fields of pineapples and the North Shore. The open and elegant space of the solarium and the grounds amidst palm, jacaranda, avocado trees and three of Maui’s largest Norfolk Pines provide the ideal environment to host cocktail parties, wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, informal buffets, breakfast meetings, lectures and concerts. Please see our price schedule listed below. A deposit is required to secure any requested dates. One Hui staff person is required for all events outside of normal business hours. MEETINGS/ LECTURES range from $250- $500 maximum capacity is 50 people. PARTIES/ RECEPTIONS INDOORS range from $600- $700 maximum capacity is 70 people. PARTIES/ RECEPTIONS INDOOR/REFLECTING POND range from $900-$1500 with a maximum of 50 people. LARGE FUNCTIONS/ WEDDINGS OUTDOORS- Grounds Only $2000 maximum capacity of 250 people. LARGE FUNCTIONS/WEDDINGS INDOORS & OUTDOORS- Grounds & Solarium $2500 maximum capacity of 250 people. Not for Profit price schedule is available upon request. Parties over 100 people will require: An approved wedding or party planning coordinator. Portable bathroom units. Parking attendant or valet. Included in the rental: 1 stocked bathroom Kitchen for preparation- refrigerator, sink, stove Parking lot for 75 cars RENTER OBLIGATIONS: Prior to event: Contact and contract with caterer Arrange for chairs and tables and/or tents (if needed) Arrange for linens, flowers, decorations, etc. Day of event: Set-up Renter must provide food, beverages, utensils, napkins, garbage bags, etc. After event: Removal of all renter’s food and beverages Removal of all furniture and decorations Vacuum and sweep floor Removal of all event-related garbage and recyclables from premises Property should be returned to original condition RENTAL CONDITIONS Hours are dependent on exhibition schedule Deposit required to secure booking Only approved caterers can be used Full payment required prior to event No smoking or dancing inside building Renter must supply proof of liability insurance with Hui No'eau Visual Arts Center named as additional Insured Hui Visual Arts Center Contract will provide complete renter obligations and rental conditions.
