South Maui Children & Youth Day

October 16, 2010Hui participates in Kihei’s 3rd Annual South Maui Children & Youth Day, organized by the Kihei Youth Center. This full-day festival offered the Hui an opportunity to engage nearly 300 Kihei youth in free arts enrichment activities that helped to raise consciousness about environmentalism. Parents were excited by the prospect of working hands-on with their little ones, teens were excited to hear about upcoming classes like T-Shirt Boot Camp, and teachers were interested in learning how to collaborate with the Hui to bring teaching artists into their own classrooms.
