Jodi Endicott (Oahu) presents “The Market,” which explores the stock market as a metaphor for the ups and downs of the human experience and the search for balance. With two interactive components, sculptures of all sizes, and some incredible paintings, Endicott asks us all to think about how money and the ways in which we spend it affect the human experience.

Shane Robinson (Maui) will present “Iterations,” which uses the universal language of mathematics as a familiar foundation from which the viewer can connect with pieces of a more conceptual and minimal nature. Filled with bold color, interesting textures, and unique digital art, Robinson's space encourages the viewer to take a closer look and see the complexity that lies below the surface.

Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center accepts applications annually for artists to exhibit a complete new body of work. The Solo Artist Exhibition is one of the only exhibitions in the state of Hawai‘i that provides the unique opportunity for artists to be personally involved in all facets of exhibition planning and installation. It challenges artists to envision and produce an innovative and cohesive body of work to be shown in a professional gallery setting. The Huiʻs historical gallery is divided to accommodate two simultaneous exhibitions, cultivating an energetic conversation between both artists and spaces. This exhibition has advanced careers, spurred community dialogue, and continues to define our local visual arts movement.
