Woman Makes the Malo, Makes the Man: A Solo Kapa Exhibit by Dalani Tanahy
Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center is honored to present Woman Makes the Malo, Makes the Man: A solo kapa exhibit by Dalani Tanahy.  In this exhibition, on display through October 23rd in the Hui’s History Room, Tanahy presents a stunning showcase of her recent work including intricate floor to ceiling length kapa and images from the personal collection of musician and Kumu Hula Keali‘i Reichel.

Celebrate "Big Ink" at Hui No‘eau with 2016 Artist in Residence James Bailey
This fall, Hui No‘eau will embark on a printmaking adventure of epic proportions! The Hui is thrilled to bring Artist in Residence James Bailey to Maui to work in the Hui’s print studio, teach a workshop open to all levels, and coordinate our “Big Ink” Celebration where large-scale prints will be created using an unlikely printing press: a steamroller!

Youth Scholarships Available in 2016
Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center in Makawao received a generous donation from a private donor to support the Hui’s Youth Scholarship Fund. This donation provides tuition assistance for children ages 2.5 to 17 who demonstrate financial need and wish to participate in the visual arts. Hui No‘eau is thrilled to offer an increased number of scholarships in 2016!
