Hui No‘eau Annual Juried Exhibition 2015

November 20, 2014 — CALL TO ARTISTS! The prospectus & entry forms for the Hui No‘eau Annual Juried Exhibition 2015 are now online at huinoeau.com/exhibitions! It is time to start preparing up to three creative entries for submission to our most prestigious exhibition of the year.

With renowned guest jurors offering a different perspective for a unique show each year, this prestigious exhibition offers an opportunity to view current work of local and mainland artists in all media. Ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, photography, painting, drawing, jewelry, digital media, fiber, wood, mixed media and all other creative explorations are welcome! With no theme, this exhibition challenges artists to submit their best work created within the past two years.

This year, we are thrilled to welcome Charles Cohan, Professor of Printmaking at UH Manoa to jury our Hui No‘eau Annual Juried Exhibition 2015. Charles Cohan received his MFA in printmaking from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. He has taught workshops at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Pilchuck Glass School, Anderson Ranch Art Center, Pyramid Atlantic, Whanganui Polytechnic in New Zealand, Canberra Glassworks/Megalo Printmakers, and the University of South Australia. He has received research grants from the U.S. Department of State, the Helpmann Foundation, and the Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.
