Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center believes in the power of creativity to connect, inspire, and strengthen our community. Through hands-on visual arts experiences, we create opportunities for keiki, teens, adults, and families to explore their creativity, build confidence, learn new skills, and connect with one another.
At the heart of our programs are Hui teaching artists, practicing professional artists who bring their creativity, expertise, and love of teaching directly into the classroom and community. Their experience spans painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, and other visual art forms. Just as importantly, they understand how to create welcoming, engaging experiences for participants with a wide range of ages, backgrounds, abilities, and comfort levels with art.
Our programs often incorporate themes of Hawaiian culture, local ecology, community, and mālama ʻāina, creating experiences that are connected to the place we call home. Whether someone is picking up a paintbrush for the first time or developing an existing creative practice, our goal is to make art accessible, meaningful, and enjoyable.
